Oil and Voltage gauge install on pillar
I've been thinking about installing an oil gauge and a voltage gauge to the pillar between the door and the windshield pf my 02 regular cab Ranger. I would use one of those two gauge holders made just for that installation.
I was looking at the fuse panel one day and I'm wondering , how would I hook these gauges up. Has anyone done something like this and how did you do it?

It ultimately depends on what gauges you use as they wire in differently. Ive done it on lots of diesels but its all the same. I use auto meter gauges and they require the trans temp sender to be wired in (2 wires). Then the 2 wires for the lights which I ran to an acc power wire just cause I wanna see whats going on after I shut the truck down and its sitting. But in a gasser id run them to a key hot wire. They dont draw much power so a relay isnt needed for them.

Yeah its just power, ground, illumination, then the sender. I have Autometers as well, water temp and trans. Both have a single wire for the sender.
Here is a how to but there are no pics and it is rather old.
