Offroad light wiring

Im installing a third and fourth turn signal slash brake light for offroading and am currently in the process of wiring them up. They have three wires a ground incase you are mounting them to a plastic surface because they can also ground through the bolt but m problem is in when they are wired to the brake light wire and the turn signal wire they work fine until i turn on my headlights, then they don't work at all its pretty confusing. Im not sure if i have to run some load equalizers or not. Here are some pics so you can see what im talking about. Here are the two main wires:

BAH!!!! either get rid of those connectors or use some "dumdum" to seal them up, a little water gets in there mixes with electricity next thing you know corrosion is destroying your wires and BAM it breaks....

I would...cut the wire and put a piece of shrink tube down wire...the splice the main wire with your light wire and back to your other wire heading to the stock connector...solder them together and be clean about it..the slip the heat shrink over the connection and melt it down..now you have a great connection and ZERO water can get in..

---- HATES hilbilly clips ----

They should work,i mean your only using the wire as a signal wire to turn the light on, should work like any light...
