I have a 1994 Ranger 4x4 manual trans and hubs,4.0.I have been having issue off and on with the 4 wheel drive not engaging and difficulty disengaging.Mechanic says he has found the problem with the wiring in the dash behind the 4x4 dash switch.When he wiggled the wires the 4x4 would engage as it should.Mechanic tells me a pigtail plug for this switch will cure my issues.The one I have now does not have a clip on the pigtail to hold it tight.

Does anyone know where I can find a pigtail plug for this cure????

Junkyard, or use some rtv silicone to stick it together if the clip is broke. Put it on the plastic, not where the wires make connection.

 

I'm with Grumpa. Junk/salvage yard. A quick Google search came up empty for the pigtail. The RTV idea might work in a pinch, but replacing the pigtail is by far the best option.
