OHC reads 140 degrees all the time?
I just put in my ohc and for some reason the compass works fine I already calibrated it and set my variation. But my temp sensor reads 140 degrees. I unplugged it and it's still reading 140. So I put some contact grease on the connections and still the same thing. Any idea on why? Maybe crossed wires? I did have my girlfriend hook that up so they might be cRossed

Its been along time since I have messed with the console sensor but if my memory serves me right the 140 temp reading means there is a short.
-40 means the circuit is broken.
I would trace your wires if nothing is pinch and no bare wires I would replace the sensor.
Also check to make sure correctly wired.

I don't think the temp sensor wires matter if they're connected blue/white to blue white or blue/white to blue yellow or vice/versa.
Like mentioned the -40 means the temp sensor either isn't connected or is bad, never seen the 140 temp reading... could be something amiss with the circuit board inside.
I've been able to repair several where the display doesn't work at all, but not sure what would make the reading show 140 all the time (head scratcher)
