Does anyone know where/if I can buy a replacement crossmember for my Ranger, or get a part number? I called the dealer they said Ford never made them and there is no part number. I see some stuff online but nothing that looks quite right. I'm in Maine where everything rusts and the only thing I can find in the whole damn state is one that's already swiss-cheesed at the edges and they want $100 for it... I can get an entire rear frame for $650 but this truck isn't worth the $$ or time to do a frame replacement. This is the crossmember that holds the gas tank, 2nd from the rear (spare tire holder is the rear one) on a 2wd 6' bed 2.5L 5sp manual.
Has anyone fabricated this crossmember themselves?

Oh, thanks I didn't find that one when I was searching. Different truck but I guess probably the same problem with sourcing the crossmembers. Good pictures on building one, I might go for something similar.
