Power Window Issue

2002 Extended Cab Ranger. Passenger side window started to work intermittently. It would go up and down "once in a blue moon". At first I could (when it wanted to ) make the window go up/down from the drivers side switch. One day I put the passenger side down and it wouldn't go up so I got out of the truck and opened the passenger side door and used that switch to make the window go up (it did). It hasn't gone up/down since either switch.
I have read threads here and most point to switches - this "feels" like a bad wire to me. Any suggestions appreciated.

My friend just had that kind of problem on the power window switch of his vehicle last month. The driver side window of his vehicle would somehow got stuck down and wouldn't get back up. It kinda bothered him so he decided to let a mechanic check on it. He mentioned that the power window switch had been busted and he had no choice but to replaced them. After replacing the power window switch, the driver side window of my friend is back to normal.

I have that in my truck. Only mine is the lock/unlock switch Have had it since about 20K miles. dealer has replaced the driver side switch 4x and it still dont work LOL I can lock the doors, but cant unlock from the driver side... eh, oh well... good thing its not a full size or the reach to the other side would make me actually fix it LOL

sounds like a switch to me. go to the junkyard, they're easy to grab and you can get them from any Ford that has the same switches as you.
If you cant figure out how to take the door panel off, just ask, or break it like i usually do cause they're PITA.
if its not the switches, i'd say window motor.

if it is the window motor, make sure you get a FORD motor, and not some after market crap. Dealer tried to pull that one on me as well. The after market window motors dont move the window, like the OEM motors do

Had the same switch issue. The contacts are pitted. Pull the switch apart and clean the contacts with a thin nail file and some electronic conponent cleaner. 2 years now on the repair.
