Power Window questions

when i remove the passenger window button thing..over on the driver side it doesnt work..

im thinkin i can jump out a wire to get rid of the switch on the passenger side..and just use the one on the driver side

so i can get rid of the passenger side for some ideas that ive been thinkin up with..but i kinda like to get a heads before i start jumpin things out and seein my truck go up in smoke

Yeah, the two PS window switches are in series in a sense. When one switch is in the neutral position, it passes the signal to the window when the other switch selects up or down. You would simply need to jump the correct wires together to eliminate the PS switch for the PS window.

so i just need to start jumpin until it works..if i do it wrong will it blow out the fuse? or just nothin happen

You will find 5 wires at the plug under the PS window switch.

Insulate the end of the blue/black. It will no longer be used.

Connect tan/blue to red/yellow
Connect white/yellow to yellow/red


The first color is the main wire color
The second is the stripe
Don't mix up the RD/YE with the YE/RD or your window will operate backwards.

bob..you da man..we will see what happens tomorrow man..thanks a bunch..i was scared i was gunna have to keep it hooked up and just stuff it in the door panel lol

what wires did you jump off?? sucks the rangers dont have a pass window disable....but if i can disable the switch muhahahahaha
