sticky gas pedal
Sometimes my gas pedal feels a bit sticky when i'm at lower rpm's. its like i'll touch the pedal and i get no response then all of a sudden i get power again. it isn't hurting the way it drives just kinda of annoying and wondering if anyone might have an idea to the cause.

Like I said on my previous post... I am not sure this is going to solve your problem. But since it is a free mod, it won't hurt. lol

Mine does the same thing. Gas pedal feels stuck then you have to push it harder to go. I am thinking in need to clean and lube up the throttle cable. It is really annoying.
I already cleaned the TB. It was super clean. I also cleaned the MAF and that other thing in the intake tube. Helped the idle was all it did.

Update:
So, cleaned the TB yesterday, holy crap was it ever nasty. Throttle response is up, truck feels so much nicer to drive. I also placed a spacer on the wire where it meets the pedal to reduce the slack. Only problem is my idle is a bit sporadic bouncing between 800 and 1500 rpm. I'm thinking i may have tightened the wire to much so i'll try to trouble shoot it after work today.

it felt like it did at first but since last night i'm not sure. a CEL came on as i was driving home last night and truck felt like it was apprehensive when i got on the throttle. Thankfully i don't have to work OT this week so i can go back to taking the bus to work. Right now i'm regretting not cleaning the MAF while i had everything off on saturday. So i'll give that a shot either tonight or tomorrow.

Update: After talking with my buddy and 03crew i decided my IAC needed cleaning. I go to take it off last night and i almost stripped the top bolt, and the bottom one broke while trying to take it off. Has about 3 threads sticking out. I tried getting it out using vice grips but only wore away at what was sticking out. I was pretty pissed last night at how weak those two bolts were, I was able to break the top one which i almost stripped, using only my hands.
Oh well, i stuck the IAC back on and plan to go visit my buddy who has all the tools needed for me to finish this project. Hopefully i can update this on monday.

Update: So had to replace the TB, went to a junk yard yesterday, got a used one, cleaned it up and after a considerable amount of swearing trying to get the middle tube attached, i got everything put in place. I disconnected the battery for 15 minutes, then fired the truck up and let her idle for 5 minutes, then another 5 with the AC on. It was idling great, right around the 900-1100 mark. I had to pick up the wife so i drove the truck out and about 2 minutes into the drive it threw a CEL. As far as i can tell the CEL isn't affecting the trucks drivability and the truck feels much more responsive and i don't have to press down as hard on my gas peddle to get it going. So tomorrow i'll hit up autozone and get them to read the code for me.
Again thanks for all the help :)
