Programmable Engine Management system
Programmable Engine Management system
Does anyone know of a programmable engine management system because i wanted to turbo my 2001 4.0 SOHC and be able to run about 5 psi and program it myself so I don't need to go to a shop and have it reprogrammed every time it runs lean or rich.

Your 2001 Ranger will have a Ford EEC-V computer, pretty much all Fords from 1996 and up use same programmable computer
Try:
The TwEECer -- Ford EEC user programmable module
Also Google: ford eec v tuning software
EEC-IV was the older computer, tuning software for this computer won't work with EEC-V
4.0l SOHC is not a great candidate for turbo or super chargers because of it's 9.7:1 compression ratio, while it will make extra power for sure, its nothing like the power gain from lower compression engine, i.e. 8.0-9.0:1
