Programming a new key

I just bought a 2003 Mazda B3000. It came with only one ignition keys. I went to a local locksmith and for $85 he provided me with another programmed key. Now I can go on Amazon and buy 2 new, uncut keys for around $19. I can have my local Ace hardware store cut the new keys for $3 each. Apparently with 2 ORIGINAL keys I am able to set up the truck computer to accept another key. The problem is that at least one (probably both) keys I have are not original. Anyone have any idea whether I would be able to program another key using the two keys that I have? Thanks in advance, G

Yes, if you have two keys that are currently recognized by PATS, you can program more by using the procedure in the owner's manual. It does not matter if the keys are original or not.
