Ranger broken wire

Does anyone know exactly what the broken wire that is suppose to be connected to the wire going into the cabin of the truck? I want to buy the part and try and repair it but I don't know what it is called. I have a 1997 Ranger XLT 2.3L Manual

If its Grey its not a wire its a hard plastic vacuum line and it runs to the Heater bypass valve in engine bay

It comes from the cab's Heat/AC selector panel, it is only used for MAX AC, it shuts off the flow of hot coolant to the cab's heater core

Bypass looks like this: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/R4YAA...iM1/s-l300.jpg
Has 4 hose connections and the vacuum valve(cylinder with metal arm)

Line can be repaired by putting a tight fitting rubber vacuum line between the broken sections or from the line in the picture to the bypass valve
