bad pcm! can i replace the bcm, pcm, and ignition lock?
i have a rough idle and pretty much got it down to the power control module.
i only have 1 key and if the stealership was to put in a new one they would have to cut a key first, then reprogram it and this would probably cost 800.
so i was wondering if i could just replace the bcm pcm and ignition lock?
would that work?

The PATS/Securilock system varies by year. What's yours? Would you intend to use new parts or junkyard parts?

hey i was thinking about pulling a pcm bcm and ignition lock out of the same year and model at the wrecker.
ive test pretty much everything else been in shops cant find anything!
steady vacuum checked for leaks
cleaned injectors
checked fuel pressure
checked fuel pressure regulator
new fuel filter
compression between 150-160
dont think its a valve cuz of good compression and i feel no sucking with hand on exhaust
new plugs and wires
new iac
cleaned maf unplugged tested
new coolant temp sensor
clamped hose from evap purge valve runs the same
tested tps
checked my cam sensor
wiggled all my wires and checked grounds i could find
got battery tested and alternator
got a motovac done
and all my oxygen sensors
i get no codes and my evap wont run, whatever i try
checked mounts and everything around my serpetine belt.
my engine runs rich and i have poor exhaust emission
if you have a suggetion im willing to check it out.
but i dont think it can be anything else then my pcm

I'm with Bob. Its extremely unlikely that the PCM is causing a bad idle WITHOUT throwing a code.
I've never seen a PCM go bad without throwing random codes and the WHOLE truck acting weird.
I believe PCM's are tied to something else in the truck, so it may need to be flashed.
The dealer won't charge you much more than $150 bucks to get a key cut and tied to a PCM.
