Rear Brake Hubs for a 98

Does anyone have a decent picture of how these are assembled? Took them apart and because of core charge, and now got a couple of springs extra that Haynes and Chilton can't explain...

I cant view pics over there, but are you talking about a thin spring that is about 5 inches long? Im in the middle of rear brakes on my 96 and I have no clue where this spring goes either. The weird part is, I dont think I removed one from my truck when I started the breaks either, because I dont have any remants of removing it on my garage floor either.

I can put up pics later of what Im talking about

Can someone explain the purpose behind the spring that is located on the parking brake cable

[IMG][/IMG]

At the end of the cable there is a metal piece with a spring in it. The spring is attached on both sides of the cable, having nothing else to attach to (if that makes sense)

that spring is what helps keep tension to the cable, the spring hooks to the piece that adjusts the adjuster..
