Relays
How important is it to use relays when wiring in some lights? right now i have them in but im rewiring everything to incorporate fuse blocks instead of my current rats nest. it would be a lot cleaner and simpler if i got rid of the relays but dont know if that is a good idea or not.

You use them to avoid having high current running under your dash, requiring a larger gauge wire. I'd use one, just to avoid the chance of the switch melting down.

You can use big wire from the battery to big switch in the cab then more big wire to the lights. Or you can use little switches and wires in the cab and use the relays to keep all the big wiring under the hood. In either case, you can't use nice little switches and wiring without relays.

yeah if the lights came with the relays, i would just keep them

Ok, i just kept the relays i had. thanks.

My 110W pilots came with a wiring kit and didnt include a relay, so I never put one in. Ive never had a problem. Just make sure that your switches are rated for the power flowing thourgh them.
