im really not sure, but i would guess that all the wires are in the harness that plugs into the back of the guage cluster are the same. so it might still be there and not be used\

hows the process going? very difficult to install a remote start

I believe terminal 48 (tan/yel wire) at the PCM is a tach output. However, I'd double check that before tapping it. Hopefully someone with a current wiring diagram will chime in.

wiring

the process is going good for a beginner i thought till i hit this wire, the wiring diagram for my ranger shows a blue/red or tan/yellow but it also saz coil on drivers side, and as u all know both coils are on the passengers side anyway......... the purpose of this wire is to detect change in voltage in order to know when to stop the starter motor from turning over, so if i dont have a tach where could i hook it to the coils im assuming?and if so where? any ideas? and p.s if u have a tach its a pretty easy process lol
