Removing tie rod

I'm trying to install my Bilstein leveling shocks and for the life of me I can't get the tie-rod out to remove the stock coil and strut. I've hammered the crap out of the spindle to try to break it loose, used PB blaster and it will not move at all. Any tips?

You need some Aero Kroil. This **** kicks PB Blasters ***, only cost like $15 a can though. I happen to have a case sitting at work.

We have it at work too. I have seen it make some nasty stuff just piratically fall apart.

We had to order it directly from the factory. They don't have certified vendors. I know alot of ford dealerships have it if you have any connections.

AeroKroil is teh shiz! We use it at work and it's awesome. So good it'll loosen permanent marker off your paint!

BTW, That pic is of a pitman arm puller, the pickle fork is the split wedge looking thing that you hammer in to separate the joint from the knuckle, but it usually ruins the boot.

What you need is a really big crescent wrench, a strap, and another truck.

Why do you need to remove it? I did my AS leveling kit with it still attached. I guess since the spring is moved up higher on the strut the whole assembly becomes longer. I had to buy a socket to get mine apart. I though one side was 30mm, not sure of the top of my head. Also a breaker bar will be necessary, even if you have an air gun. When re-tightening, retorque that lower bolt and nut to 351 ft-lbs.
