Resistor = HP

i was just wondering i am going to try that resistor thing with my truck. i spent a whole wopping $3.07 at radio shack on them. i was just wondering i cant find the IAT anywhere. I think it is diffrent on my 05 then other models. And i had a friend ripped off about a year ago. he bought that thing on ebay and i have been wanting to try it sence. well if i can get some help finding the IAT. it would be mutch apprecicted. Thanks and i will post the results when i find out.

Results have been posted about this here before. You lose horsepower with those resistors. Return the resistors and buy yourself a candy bar

im just one of those people that have to learn the hard way. wel when it comes to not spending mutch money at all. i was just wondering.

Well you got owned on the resistor too. It shoulda been like 19 cents.

The mod works to some extent on calibrations that use the IAT value as an input to the warm engine spark calculation. Later model Rangers have the IAT compensation table 'zeroed out' so a resistor does not give the desired effect.

I bought a Juice Box from ebay and that's all it is is a resistor, and it acutally seem like my truck has a bit more power. Not much for the $20 I payed for it, but there is some. Although I heard the IAT mods only work on the older model's computers
