do i need to replace my crash sensors?

Hi all,

i got into an accident last year and have been slowly putting my truck back together, there was a lot of damage to the front bumper and driver side fender but when i got all the body panels pulled off there was no mech. damage. the drivers airbag did deploy but from what i can see there is no damage to the actual sensors do i still need to replace and is there any way i can check before i plug in the airbag? (dont want to set it off and have to by another one).

I can take some pictures if it helps, also if you need to know the car runs fine and the a/c even worked after the crash! lucky for me the Taurus took the brunt of the damage.

Yeah, I would. They won't set off the airbag again if you reuse them but they won't set off the airbag again in the future and leave the airbag light on. I don't know for sure about Ford but I know for a fact on Dodges they send a signal to the airbag module and when they send the signal the airbag deploys but it will only send that signal once and it's toast.

What year?

Some trucks have crash sensors and some don't. The ones that don't you need to replace the airbag computer called the RCM.
