Reverse back up beeper thingies.
You've seen what I'm talking about on pretty much all other Ford vehicles. 4 little black sensors with a audio system to alert the driver when you are getting close to something. I would like to add this to my bumper, because, well, why not, and I also back into my garage every night, and this would help me not run into the back,(I have't yet, but I'm sure I will.)
I'm sure, that since Ford wiring sucks, there is no way to do this, (especially in a manual) but, any ideas?

could probly make it work if you found a vehicle in the junkyard with it equipped. you might need to use a different speaker or somethin so you can cut the sensor wires instead of pullin wires through the whole vehicle. and i think they make a kit to do this for vehicles. the manual part should not be a problem, just wire it into your reverse lights

n3elz put this one his truck alittle while back. I just found the thread. It sounds pretty cool, definatly worth a shot. Maybe he'll chime in with what he thinks about it.

of use what we use, for dads parking spot for his truck. its a mud flap off a big rig that we flapped over and laid on the floor, acts like a wheel stop. when the duals hit it, which they will, the truck stops and we dont hafta worry about backing into anything which would be a DISASTER since theres a $30,000 diesel air compressor behind the truck. Dad actually got this cause as he gets older/sicker, it became difficult to see at night, even with the back up lights. the idea is awsome... he should have thought about it 20yrs ago when he backed over my sisters lil pink car she used to ride around in...

It's simple to wire: two wires to a taillight (power and reverse light connection) and tap in, and a pair to the cab for the speaker.
I took the board out and sprayed it with urethane spray to waterproof it. It was already coated some -- but it looked "spotty" to me.
Don't forget to mask off all the sensors/emitters on the board. There are a total of 6: 4 infrared LED's (two on each side), a flat black IR sensor, and a large light sensor that looks like a big LED. Cover the ends with masking tape to make sure they don't get obscured.
