Should this light up?

Ok been a long time since I've posted but here goes.

I have an 02 FX4 5-speed with cruise control.

Since I've owned it (dealership bought, no less), This half of the CC buttons light up:

.... and this half does NOT!

I'm assuming they should???

I'm not looking for a how-to or any parts info.

I'm just looking for a yes or no answer. Should that side light up or not?

Thanks for any and all replies.

it hasn't changed. my friends 01 has both lit up. my 99 didn't have them wired up so i had to wire it because ford was too lazy to do it themselves and they didn't have a power wire going to them.

your bulb is probably dead.

On my 02 FX4 the right side worked and the left side did not for awhile. Then one day the left one came on and both sides have worked ever since.

HAHA I was wondering who would catch onto that!

Anyway, yeah for as long as I've been meaning to tear the steering wheel apart to replace those bulb, I've put 40,000 miles on it since then!

Time to fix this...

That is the best, when stuff fixes itself.

Alright, well, I should be home between mid and late September to finally get all this repair work going.

Until then, it will just have to wait.

I have mulptiple cases where this happens with my truck haha. But to the OP sometimes mine will randomly go out and If I'm lucky sometimes I just have to flick it and it will turn on. But yeah there super easy to replace, just have to pull the air back out a little to get to them.
