Some more fodder for TBarcya's brake project:

saw these online.. brackets to use Lincoln rotors and Cadillac calipers.

Still a bit pricey for me, but...

Thats why you need to use cadillac calipers that have a mini parking brake built in.

I saw this when doing some research several months ago and didn't like them for a couple reasons. The first is that the Cadillac calipers they're referring to are from the 60s or 70s (I believe) when there are Lincoln calipers with the integrated parking brake from the 90s that seem like a better choice to me. I'm also not into spending that kind of money on some powder coated steel plate when I know I could make them for much less. I'd be very interested to know which Lincoln rotors they're suggesting be used because at this point the rotors are what's holding me up from finishing the job. That, and the time and a warm and dry place to work.

that's kool they are built in, kinda wish Ford would do the same, or one of those brakes.. like i think their called an axle break.

The Lincoln towncar that I got the brake calipers from has the parking brake integrated into the caliper. Once the weather gets nicer and my checking account fills back up, I'll start working on this again and hopefully come up with some plates that can be made inexpensively and allow the use of all Ford parts.

I emailed the guy with the auction and his reply is that the calipers come from an 80-86 Cadillac but there was no mention about the rotors. As soon as I find a suitable rotor, this project should progress rather quickly.
