speedometer......annoyed with it.

so i installed my new headunit, and after i got the new headunit in, my speedometer and odometer stopped working. What could be the problem? I went to Autozone and used there OBD2 code reader and it said that i have a "Speed sensor problem." I cant figure out what to even look for behind the instrument panel as far as a speedometer wire (or cable?). So bascially im confused, is it the sensor? or a wire that got disconnected behind the stereo when i replaced my head unit?
Thanks (Im really annoyed at this problem if you cant tell haha)

Check to see if fuses 11, 14 or 25 are blown.
Make sure that all the connectors at the GEM are still plugged in.
Check the gray/black wire from the GEM connector to see if it is cut or pinched.

It is possible that the ABS speed sensor on the rear axle has failed. This shouldn't have anything to do with the HU install but could just be coincidental.

Generic Electronic Module. It's usually a black plastic box, probably to the left of the HU in the radio cavity. Some GEMs have 2 connectors, some have 4. The gray/black is in one of the GEM connectors - there is only one wire in that area with that color code.

From the factory, the only components it should be connected to are the speedo/odo, GEM, Powertrain Control Module and the Speed Control Servo.
