airbag control module or restraint control module?

On a 99 Ranger, are there both of these modules or just one? Also does anyone know their location(s)? Also are there exterior airbag sensors on this model or are they part of these modules? Trying to get the airbags on this reinstalled and need this info. Thanks for any help.

The RCM is the airbag module. It is bolted on top of the transmission tunnel below the IP. Most Rangers have a console or cupholders covering it. For 1999, there are no external sensors. The impact and safing sensors are inside the RCM.

Thanks a lot. One mechanic said it was a blue module in the middle of the dash below the radio. I know the one you are talking about. Appreciate the info.
