Relay click when using the heating

I bought an 07 ranger sport a couple months ago. The weather is cooling off and I'm just now starting to use the heater. When I turn on the blower a click happens every minute or two. It sounds like a relay clicking on and off. Heat works great in all blower positions. Temp Gague stayes where it should. Is this relay cycling normal? What would it even be controlling?

I believe on most vehicles, the AC runs even if it is on full heat. It allows you to tune the temp inside by mixing heated air with cold air and dehumidifies
the cabin and windshield.
