Starts and dies

'02 ran fine. Next time I got in it would start but then immediately Rev up past 2,000, then just as quickly die.
Tried it half a dozen times and 2 or 3 more today.
Start, rev above 2000 and die.
i need to add that temps have dropped considerably here and that cold hit between when it would run and now when it won't.
Does that indicate pcv is bad?
Too dang cold and windy to try things.
have an unheated garage but no way to get it in there.

Would appreciate suggestions.

If temps are cold it should REV up close to 2,000 on start up, thats normal
Thats the Choke coming on
But should drop to 1,000-1,200RPMs after that, not die

Not a lot to go on, could have a clogged fuel filter, it will pass a little fuel, enough to start then engine runs out of gas
Clogged exhaust, the old potato up the tail pipe, engine starts then stalls because exhaust can't get out
Clogged air cleaner box, rodents want to be warm too, lol
