Hi guys,

I'm planning a frankenstein's monster of a Ranger. My truck is a 2011 XLT, 4.0L SOHC, 4x4, 5 speed. I want to wire in the overhead console, but also the digital climate control and message center from an Explorer (I'm not picky about year, I figure as long as I pull the message center from a 4.0L SOHC explorer, plus the fuel pump, washer reservoir, etc, I'll be safe) but I'm not sure if I really can, given the significant year gap between them all. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and I'm comfortable with working with electronics, just as long as I have an instruction book. Regardless of how difficult the task, can this work?

Also, can I pull the bucket seats from the same Explorer, or is there another vehicle that I can cannibalize seats from? I do like the look of my seats, but whoever had the truck before me got the passenger seat pretty stained. Badly enough the dealership couldn't do anything about it.
