Sunroof Blues

Hey guys been a long time since I posted on here been busy with work n school n such, anyways gonna cut straight to the chase!

I got another ranger thats undergoing a lot of mods...SAS for the front, f150 8.8 for the rear, 37's and so on....now I was at the wreckers and got a smokin deal on a sunroof from an explorer sport trac that came with everything. Now Im trying to figure out the wiring on it and I know 2 of them already go to the toggle switch however theres 3 others...black, yellow and silver stripe, and purple...black I would asume as ground and yelllow as power however purple not so sure...

Anyone know of any threads out there on wiring sunroofs be it from RF or another site? I tried searching RF and found nothing on sunroofs, any help would be appreciated!

Purple could be a power wire that isn't a hot or constant. I forget what the proper term is but it's like wiring up a stereo and you have a power wire that only turns on when there is ignition.

Yea I get what you mean...only thing is that raises the question about the yellow wire and whether or not thats a constant or what its actually for.

Could it have something to do with the whole "shut off car- power on delay" thing?
