Anyone here use a Superchips Flashpaq with their ranger?

Just purchased one and got it all updated, etc. Go to plug it into my truck and it says my files arent stock. But the truck has never been chipped or tuned before.

Error code: #E-43.

Was just curious to see if anyone else had this problem and what the solution was. Waiting for Superchips to get back to me.

 

I have one but have you looked up the error code?

 

Error code is E-43 error code "Vehicle File is Not Stock… Call Superchips! Use Code #E-43"

Yeah its new. Its been updated and everything like they tell you to do.

 

sounds like your truck needs a update. ford will often update the computer in a truck during service. if your tuner is up to date with fords newest programing, but you truck isnt, it could possibly think it has some "aftermarket tune"

 

I took it to Ford to get "reflashed" and they said that there was no performance mod or chip that has been put in the truck. I paid $100 for the reflash, why wouldnt they at least put the update or make me aware that there is one while they were plugged in?

 

100 to reflash? wow. in that case you may have to talk to superchips. or try another update.

 

yup, thats what you get when you live in southern california and its ford. Lately ive been calling it the "stealership"
