Top Speed Limiter

Is there any way to take out the top speed limiter in a 91 4.0 v6 auto?

Yep. I topped out at about 162 on a track and it kicked in and dropped to 150 or so

I hope you're ready to get a new arsehole ripped by the masses here who will tell you its not safe to go that fast, lol. basically your truck has a limiter not because they dont want you breaking the law but because the collection of parts that is your truck werent made to handle those speeds so find a new mod

edit : 162...holly **** you sure it was a limiter and not something blown in your engine block?

edit edit: I think RPS is more your style forum, check them out

ok i am gonna throw out a guess here, but i think he is talking about KM/hr.... not MPH. Even so unless u have soe nice suspension mods u dont really want to go much faster then 100 in a ranger...
