Other than the "strap-on" or "slip over" towing mirros that are sold for a Ranger, does anyone know of some real ones? I mean ones that I would install by removing the stock mirrors, and installing some that pull out/push in, simular to what rhe newer F-150's have. In looking at an option sheet, Ford advertized a "tow package" for the Ranger; this never included a genuine set of tow mirrors?

 

The tow package was just a trailer hitch with the oem plug for hooking up the trailer electrical to.

Have you tried the 06+ ranger mirrors? They're a heck of a lot better than the curved or flag style mirrors on previous model year trucks. You get much more visibility with them.

or you could be like this guy and put dodge mirrors on but it looks awful on a little truck lol

 

X2 get a set of the 06+mirrors and then go from there is you're wanting more. I'm really glad I got mine.

 

Thanks guys. I'll head over to Ebay and check out a set of '06 and up mirrors. I think I read a post or two that there is some slight modding to get these to install on an earlier (2000) Ranger.

 

You just gotta grind down some plastic tabs with a dremel, easy to mod.

 

One of the best things ford did. When I got my truck my step dad loved the fact they were so much larger than previous mirrors. He doesn't even drive a ranger/truck, he's got a stang.
