guage cluster brake light

guage cluster brake light

the light in the guage cluster that looks like(!) BRAKE comes on after i let off the brakes and will stay on for a litlle while like 30 seconds then go off and if its on before i hit the brakes it goes off the instant i press on the brakes i checked the fluid level in the plastice resivor by the master cylinder its half full could this be causing this any help is apriciated because its kind of annyoing

either low brake fluid or master cylinder.....but i would have the brakes checked since you said the fluid is down to half

well i will go to my uncles and me and him will take a look i know a bit about cars but he knows everything lol

Fill the resivoir up to the fill line and check the brake system for leaks. You may have a wheel cylinder that is leaking or some other issue that is causing you to lose fluid.

well ive been watching and havent noticed any leaks

Check all the lines/connections from the master cylinder closely too. Could be a leak thats not so noticeable.

well on wensday im going to check the front brake pads i know the rear shoes are good and i will get my uncle who is a mechanic to look everything over and by the way the light quit coming on as often and i topped off the resivior and went around the block and it didnt come on once but i also didnt go to far
