I am new to this forum but here is my problem I just got giving a 1990 ranger with the 2.9l. it ran great for a day then I tried starting it the next day and no go. I pulled a plug and got no spark!
This is what I have done to trouble shoot it already.
I took a complete distributer out of a good running truck still no spark I tried a new coil still nothing. I got a code reader and it said coolant temp out of range and air temp out of range. Then it flooded it self the relay for the fuel kept clicking and wouldnt stay ingaged so i changed the relays and it still does it.I have searched this for day whats next

Ya I checked all that found out that I had a bad ground from frame to fender.

 

You make also want to run a ground strap from the engine to the frame as well.

 

I changed every one from the battery.
