unknown beeping in a Splash

A friend of mine has a Ranger Splash, I think it's a 1996. He gets a beeping for no known reason, it has three sets of five beeps then stops with nothing happening. Any ideas???

its a bomb.......Ford engineered them into the truck so they explode after so many miles....that way you have to buy a new vehicle....

its the air bag module, someone has taken the bulb out of the dash.

this is a code for the air bag system.

is it right after the trucks started? because it could very well be the airbag... i know with ours the on/off switch will blink and if the 96 doesnt have a passnger side it might just make a noise...

thats sorta what i said in post above, you ohio people arnt the brightest you know.

and i truley hope you smash florida on the 8th so the entire country will know they were wrong!

you dont get it do you?

i said i hope ohio state smashes florida in a blow out so the entire country except one state knows they (BCS) were wrong about not putting Michigan in the title game!

mine was making a beeping sound on the pass side kick panel untill i fixed it.
you should be able to unplug the wire from the blue box and it will stop untill its fixed.
goto autozone or something and get the codes pulled and see whats wrong with it.

Thanks guys, I let him know to check out his airbag system, odds are the truck is a fixed up wreck.
