01 instrument cluster

i have a 2003 ford ranger and i bought a 2001 explorer cluster and its got 88861 miles and my only has 63000 miles i was wondering if i take both of them apart can i jus install my odometer in it? would it work properly still?and if i were to take them apart is there anything i need to be aware of?thanks for all your help!

Follow the above instructions and you'll do fine. Just swapping the odometer out is the easiest. I tried to take mine apart to adjust the numbers......but without the right tools (small flat screw drivers or electronic tool kit) it makes it hard.

does anyone know how to get the gauges out of the cluster or take it all apart bc i dont wanna pull or pry at the wrong spot and break anything. thanks
