Using 0w-20 instead of 5w-20

Are these to oils interchangeable? My truck calls for 5w20 but its my understanding 0w20 acts identical at operating temps but protects better on startups and cold weather? Can anyone confirm this? Is it worth switching to 0w20?

Wouldn't be any difference unless you were in the far North, i.e. Northern Alaska

Use Clear Flooded Engine routine every morning or after engine has been sitting more than 8 hours
Turn on the key
Press gas pedal down to the floor, hold it down, fuel injectors will be shut OFF, so you can get oil pumped thru the engine BEFORE it starts
Crank engine, count to 5 while cranking(or 10, lol) and then release gas pedal, engine will startup fully oiled
