want to add cruise control... 98 4 banger manual

I'm about to be driving to ohio soon... 2300 miles infact! that many miles would be murder on my right foot/leg...

So, here's the question... are there complete kits out there for a decent price?
What years/models of fords can I nab the parts from?

ANY help would be appreciated!

a$$... that doesn't help me!! hahaha :P j/k man!

I know on my last trip up to WA, I LOVED it in the cobra!

I really want it on there. I just don't know what fords I can snag parts off of. The wiring will be no problem for me.

I know that! :P

I'm just in a time crunch and was wondering if a vendor or a board member might have some parts laying around. The nearest junk yard that would have the parts is over an hour away. :(

You can probably get a Ford kit from a dealer parts dept., or maybe search eBay.

Well, I'm leaving the state on the 28th, so really by the 27th of this month at the very latest....

I have been looking on ebay, but it looks like there's only switches and 1 complete kit for a 00-02 3.0 on there.

I'll look at my ford service cd and see if the parts are interchangable. I would imagine almost everything aside from the tb connection would be the same.

I was also just told the add on kit part number is F87Z9A818AA

Damn... :(
I called ford, and they said they had 3 entire kits left in the whole of the USA... damnit. All 3 of the dealers either couldn't find it or wouldn't look. ghey.
I can't make it to a junkyard, I really just don't have the time.

I bought this damned universal one from audiovox.. but it looks retarded... uses engine vaccum to actuate the throttle linkage via a servo... f that.

I, just now, found out about this kit offered on summit made by Rosta that I'm linking of using. It's twice as much, but I think it would look cleaner... especially under the hood.

If I can't find it from a local vendor, i'll have to call summit 1st thing tomorrow and get it ordered ASAP.

I'll let ya'll know.

3 IN ALL OF USA?!
DAMN. that's ridiculous. But yeah, if you order from Summit, you better hope they ship it super fast and you have super installation skills. =p

I know, I was a little pissed/sad. He said they discontinued the kit! :(
Usually with summit, if I can order it early enough in the day, I can *sometimes* get it the next day.
It shouldn't take me too long to install it, a few hours at most I'm guessing... mainly due to running wiring into the cab.

I'm pretty much on hold as Rostra is closed and I'm not getting too many replies on the 12volt.com... Summit has the kit in stock, but it lists different switches for my ranger than the Rostra site. *sigh*
