Computer plug
So my engine light has been on for awhile and its not going away by unpluging the battery. So I went to check the code with one of my friends scanners but my plug doesnt seem to be putting out a code or doing anything for that matter. Is there a way to check whats wrong another way or am I gonna have to replace the plug.

That has nothing to do with the light being on though.

it has everything to do with it. if there is no power to the obdii port cause of a blown fuse, you can't get a code reader to power up, which means you won't know what the code IS. His post implied the code reader didn't do anything (power up?). he also stated he wanted to fix it, not just make the light go away.
Unless i am confused, which is not totally offbase. lol
