What fuse location should I hardwire dashcam to?

2011 Sport
I'm getting a dashcam hardwire kit and wasn't sure where or which fuse location I should use or maybe it doesn't matter...
The kit comes with like a piggy-back connecter that enables you to share a location adding a fuse for the dashcam which I believe is a ten.
I noticed in the fuse box diagram some open or unused ports; can they be used or is there no power going to them?
My guess is the port doesn't matter (if it has power to it) just whether you want the camera on all the time or just when you start the vehicle.
TIA

Create a new circuit from the fuse box under the hood. Tap into a connection that's not on the ignition if you want the dashcam to run constantly, or run that power through a relay controlled by a circuit on the ignition. Just remember.... dashcams that run 24/7 can drain the battery overnight, especially 2k and 4k units. Be sure to add fuses as soon as you can on the circuit(s).

If you don't have an Owners manual go here: https://www.ranger-forums.com/genera...1-models-3747/

I would use a Key on Circuit not full time

Unused slots may be for options your Ranger doesn't have so would not have power, but you can test with volt meter or test light, make sure to test with key off and then key on

Fuse 6 for radio looks like a candidate, only has power with key on
