Hey guys. I got a question for ya. I have an 07 Ranger 4.0 4x4 and 36000 miles on it.
The tranny when shifting into 3rd, 4th, & 5th makes a clunking noise. Like metal on metal. It doesn't seem to afect the truck, just a noise that isn't so pleasent. I've had the dealer look at it. They say it's normal. I really can't see it being normal. I'm about to lose my warranty. So I was wanting to get some input on other ranger drivers to see if it was normal. Oh, it is a manual trans. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!!
