Welcome to the forum

1993 to 2012 used the same bed size on similar models, i.e. regular cab, extended cab, step side, ect........

1994 and up Mazda B-series as well, only the tail gate said MAZDA, lol.

There are really only 3 types of Ranger beds, 6ft(short), 7ft(long), and step side, which was only in 6ft I think
Regular cab short and extended cab used the same bed, 6ft

Long bed has 6" extra in front of axle and 6" extra behind axle so you can't change to long bed without moving the axle, just FYI

So 1993 6ft bed would fit on your 2005

They did change taillights in 2000 Rangers I think, older had 3 bulbs newer 2 bulbs

So 2000-2012 would be best bet

But tail lights can be swapped, good read here on that: http://www.therangerstation.com/tech...t_upgrade.html

So if your 2005 tail lights are OK then they can be swapped to any bed you get, so wiring will match up
