General Performance question.

I have a 2.3, ive already had exhaust and intake done to it. 4.56 gears. 31's for my tires. basicly ive got a tune up question. ive recieved two brand new Accel ignition coils for my truck. and im making refreshments here and there. just a general tune up. my question is. what kind of a difference will these make for my truck? anyone have experience using them? pros cons? thanks.

From what I understand the stock coil understanding that it's not worn out is all you will ever need for a stock 2.3.

You wont get much on a stock motor.

Coil gains alone are dependant on the rest of the engine.

Example:
2.3L, fully built, turbo, whatever whatever...running a stock coil.

Probably pickup noticeably with an aftermarket coil.

Stock 2.3L, CAI, Muffler...stock coil vs aftermarket isn't going to be anywhere near as much improvement. ...imo

than what kind of mods WOULD be impacted by it? Besides turbo.

Every bolt on out there and you might see a bit more gain but in the end its a 4 cylinder.

lol thats mean haha. but hey, i like my truck. My 4 banger's got bawls enough for me! :P but thats ok if i need more power ill always have my 94 suburban gas 4nicator of doom with a 454 7.4l V8 4speed 4x4:P wow....thats alotta 4's.

Well I may have a 4.0 but its not that fast. I'm sure a upgraded coil pack wouldn't help my truck that much either. 4.0 Tacos are faster anyway.

thats true enough. my cousin has an 08 taco with a 4.0. those motors put out more power as it is let alone the additio9n of a 6th gear.... but F em. they cant out perform meh I-Beams :P

I would honestly rather have the Yota. I bought my truck because it was cheaper and because I didn't have a lot of $$ when I bought it.

Its not my cat. When someone made a thread about cat armor I did a Yahoo search and that pic popped up.

you can put my truck against a same year tacoma and its not even funny..

my truck paced a supercharged taco that was an 02.

actually i know the kid really well and it did.. until actually fine tuned his truck and got the bigger injectors..

Ah you failed to leave that part out. I could beat a super charged taco if it wasn't tuned either. The new ones 04+ are really quick.

Yes i did.. even tuned though it wasnt that bad of a beating in my opinion.

I havent driven the new ones but i do LOVE the 4 door TRDS with the 6 speed.. thats happy times.

Yeah you said 02 Taco. Those have no ***** at all even supercharged. I was talking about 05 and up. Those have a 4.0 and the 04 and under have a very good but weak 3.4.

I found a 07 that I'm looking at. 24K miles, 4wd extended cab, TRD offroad, auto. $22K. My payment would be $400 a month if I get $2500 for my truck.

400 - i couldnt justify that payment at all.

my house payment is like 580. So for a little more than your truck i own a house lol.

I have been looking at apartments and they are like $800 a month for a studio in a sh!tty area. And people wonder why I'm still at home.
