Wheel Bearings 2WD

so when im driving down the highway i have a steady hum from the front end so im guessing theyre my wheel bearings since my truck is about to hit 100k and ive owned the truck for 30K miles.

ive searched and gotten all kinds of info on 4wd front bearings but with the 2wd bearings can i simply repack them or should i just get new ones? i know new ones would be the obvious better choice but if i can repack them i would rather do that. Theyre only 20$ for new ones for both sides but id rather stick with Ford OEM rather than 'value craft' which is why i mentioned repacking

yeah i just called ford and they want 10.48 a piece which is decent so ill probably go that route.

on the autozone site they had inner and outer bearings but on the motorcraft site they just had one item called the front seal assembly so im hoping thats all i will need

I usually do inners/outers and seal. Pack them nice, tighten them properly (there is a method) and you should be good.

I bought new dust caps just for the heck of it, my old ones were beat up from taking it off too mcuh.

i reccomend doing it this way, eliminate any potentialfor a sound so you dont have to go back in and tear it apart.
