Where is the door switch

Where is the switch that tells my computer that my door is open. Sometimes the light is off and sometimes it stays on. I cant figure it out.

its in the door latch. its a common problem on these trucks. shoot some wd-40 in the latch and work it in a bit. should fix it. if you need more info search the forums for "door ajar" theres a few threads about it in the intereior forum.

i'll have to try that out as well. I did the mod that confuses the truck to think its the passenger door when my driver is open....always flip flops when the dome light wants to work or not when the door is open.

i had the same problem and my dome light would stay on for HOURS, causing a drain on my battery until one night my truck wouldnt turn over.. this was before i knew about RF and i solved it by pulling the fuse to the dome, but the drawback was i no longer had any cab light at night, then i found the wd40 fix.

it still stays lit from time to time, just its attitude but it eventually turns off

i had the door ajar light issue a few years back. i wnet as far as replacing the latch/ door handle assembly only to have it come back within a month or so. later i read about the wd-40 trick and it worked! i havent touched it in a couple years

so just spray the latch on the 4door, open and shut the door a few hundred times, and that'll do the trick?
