After reading all of these, I am wondering about some of you. Do you like your trucks??? I personally love mine.

I have not owned a truck, but; I needed one. The wife has horses and I need to haul stuff. My first choice was a Ram cummins diesel. Too pricey. 2nd choice was a tossup between Dakota, F150, and Ranger. Just don't like the looks of the Chebbies and I don't buy rice either.

I decided against the F150 because I just didn't want that big of a vehicle.

So, I looked at several Dakotas and Rangers. Only stipulation was I wanted 4X4, manual tranny and transfer case. Very rare in both vehicles.

Found the FX4 Level II last fourth of July and bought it a week later.

I love it. I have since put new wheels on it (15X8), flowmaster duals, a hitch, and just yesterday a spray on liner.

I had a 1999 GMC Jimmy, it was a decent vehicle, but after all the abuse I put it thru, and the lack of having a bed in the back to haul stuff, it was time for a truck. I am only 5' 8" and I didn't need a big truck, so midsize or compact was the way to go. I was going to buy a colorado because my whole life all I have driven was GM. My grandfather worked there for 30 years until he passed away. So there wwas no other choice right? Wrong, I had an S10 and I loved it, but with driving so much, I needed a new vehicle, and the S10 was out of production. I was at the dealer just about ready to sit down and sign papers (for the chevy) and I decided that its my F*cking money and I wanted to keep looking. So I went to the Ford dealer, and looked at the Rangers, I have always loved rangers and never even looked at one before. I told the guy what I wanted and he said he had a truck almost identicle to what I wanted, but it was stick, I figured, well I can at least drive it and see what I think. So I did, and I loved it so much that I bought it on the spot and actually drove it to the chevy dealer to tell the salesman I changed my mind!

I liked it OK, I even kept it in Nice shape, but trucks are just transportation to me. Something to go to menards in, ride down the hunting trail, tow a boat. I am way more attached to my cars that I've owned then I'll ever be to a truck. I am a V8 RWD car guy, anything else is just a Plow horse!

I love my truck, but; I'm with you on this. . .

I'm not into the biggun's that you are, however; I have had my share of V8 Stangs and the current Vette.

My brother-in-law used to have a 70 cyclone spoiler with the 429CJ. That was a fun one too. Big and fast!!

I lost my job and couldnt afford my new Mustang GT + insurance ~$700/mo. So my dad showed me these mazda trucks that had the 4x4 stance. I saved about $400/mo between truck and insurance. It took some getting used to of course, but once I found places like gen edge I started modding and was hooked.

The truck I have now my dad pointed out once again. I could get a 4.0 4x4 auto 4 door for the same price I paid for my 3.0 4x2 Manual extended cab. I love this truck, I really think I will keep this thing till it dies.
