ok so i was driving to school today. and i went to make a left hand turn and the whole truck just cuts out. like engine stop, lights out, and dash board lights up with check gauges and the battery icon.

i was able to pull off to side and restart and carry on fine to school.

anyone know what could of happened?

 

not a clue if you it back up again....

it happend to me, and it was like, the crash switch or something that was just unplugged. got disconnected

 

short your battery maybe??

 

Souds like a bad short like somthin grounded out up front check your wires up front. It would have to be a main cable check your ground off the battery and the cable over to the alternator!

 

very odd short or so.....look at your steering wheel and grille. it has a blue oval on it....what did you expect? lol

 

lol, it does! so thats the problem......

 

I have had the same trouble with my 01 4.0 automatic. It has happened 3 or more times in the last yr. I am always just coming to a stop, or taking off from a stop. I can restart it every time, and drive on and not have it occur again for days, months... very random. Has anyone come up with a solution to this strange bug? Thanks
