2009 Ranger FX4 steering knock
Hi
I was wondering if anyone had any info on my problem. My ranger has a slight knock or clunk noise that seems to be coming from the steering column when I make left or right turns at low speeds. Not always, but often enough too bug me. The dealer drove the truck and (of course) could not replicate the noise. They checked tie rods, suspension, steering and found no problems. Any ideas; or should I not make any turns?! lol.

Thanks to all. At least I don't feel alone!
The clunk noise happens when it wants; slight turns and sharp turns, sometimes not at all. I don't thinks its a grease prob howerever. the noise seem to be up near the steering wheel. It can be heard, felt, and sometimes loud (not too bad) or soft.
I am actually disappointed in my Ranger. This prob combined with the wind noise through the doors sucks. I thought it would have much better quality.
