I guess this is my first REAL post on here... i am from RPS.com and this site seems a little better... seems to have more knowlagable people...

anyhow to the point..

i come from the world of jeeps and space inside a jeep is very limited, as is the rangers... anyhow my buddy gave me his rig for a good price because he was hard up for money... well i couldnt think of anyware to install it so i built a box..

i havent desided yet if i am going to try to carpet it yet or hit it with the ol' rattle can... i also left room for more "shelves" under the cb possibly for a texas star, or maybe a ham if i ever get around to getting my license...

I skipped the whole issue by using a Cobra C75WXST.. all the controls are on the handset, so the "box" is a very small piece that mounted easily behind the glovebox. I've seen alot of interesting mounts.. N3ELZ has his hung from the headliner, I've seen them mounted to the kickpanel near the parking brake pedal, I saw one mounted in the drivers door map pocket, under the ash tray, mounted to the front of the split bench, built into the floor console (automatic truck).. the possibilities are endless! Your box looks nice, and has alot of room for upgrades, which is cool. I would upholster it in some way, but thats just me.

Nice setup! I almost made a console for mine but I decided it was easier to chop up the console I had..

sweet... its a great cb my friend said he had it peaked and tuned..

on that box i had to put "wings" on the bottom because it kept turning over when i would go around a sharp turn...

ill have to take some photos of how i mounted the antena... i put it in the pass.side stake pocket..(i think thats what its called) on the bed rail
