Windshield Wiper Fluid System Problem

Sorry that I didn't search for an answer prior to posting, I just don't have the patience right now. My problem: simply, my windshield wiper fluid does not dispense. Help. The reservoir is full. Where do I even begin? Pump? I will take some time today to Google it, but this forum has always been helpful, so I post.

2001 Ranger XLT 2.5L Lima regular cab RWD.

Yes, the pump is most likely the problem, under $20 new, less at wrecking yard

Do the wipers activate when you press the washer button in?
If so then the switch is working like it should, and wiper/washer fuse is good

In engine fuse box, will be the windshield washer relay, have someone press the washer button while you have your finger on the relay, you should feel it "click"

Unplug the current pump and hook volt meter to the wires, press the Washer button to make sure you see 12volts on the wires, replace pump if you have 12volts

If your not sure about location of washer relay then get your owners manual here: https://www.ranger-forums.com/genera...1-models-3747/

I'm an idiot. I went to my truck to try a few things in response to your post, RonD, and found out my dispenser works fine. I thought you activated it by pulling back on the stick. That works the temporary high beam lights. There is a button on the **** that changes the wiper speed that you push to work the washer fluid. DUH! All is good. My dispenser works.

RonD, your post led me to figuring that out, so kudos all the same.
