Wiper issues 93 Ranger
Hello all,
I'm having issues with the wiper relay on my Ranger. Whenever I would turn them on all I got was a clicking under the dash board. First thing I checked was the fuse box under the dash, and I replaced the circuit breaker (6 Amp), no change. While I was under there I noticed that a brown box was the thing clicking, which ended up being the wiper control relay. Ordered one off ebay, and the wipers worked for ten glorious seconds before quitting and not parking. I'm thinking its a short but have no idea where to look and I don't want to replace anything else until I figure out what's frying the control relay. One thing to mention is that just before they started acting up I cut off the front end trailer light wires (it used to be towed but the wires were getting ratty). I have no idea how this could have affected just the wipers... Also worth noting that the washer pump still works. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Could be wiper motor is bad, drawing too many amps
If it was a short then there wouldn't have been a delay of 10 seconds
Wiring diagram below
Front wires would be hooked to turn signal and brake lights both use the multi-function switch along with wipers
But as long as the wires are cut clean, no shorts then shouldn't be related to wiper issue
