Wiper Motor Replacement
Wiper Motor Replacement
Well I think I finally figured out why my wipers don't work. I think the wiper motor is failing. When they stop working, if I pop the hood and wiggle the wires and the motor, they will start to work again.
I went out to play in the mud last night and they stopped working, then it started pouring. I need to get these fixed soon.
How hard is it to replace this motor and how much is it going to cost me?

The motor will be between $50 and $100, closer to $100. Or you can always get one from a salvage yard. I believe they are pretty simple to replace. A few screws hold it on. I would check your wires first to see if they are making a good connection with the motor.
yup, replaced mine last winter, what a Pain in the a$$.
if it works when wiggling the wires, i am guessing a bad connection.
you cant remove the cowl to replace the motor, you have to remove it and reach in behind the motor to remove the clip from the linkages.......gotta love great american engineering!!
